Sedation
Are you anxious about visiting the dentist or having any sort of dental treatment? If so, you’re not alone. Figures from the British Dental Association show that 25% of British people experience some anxiety about visiting the dentist, and that for 12% of us, those feelings are extreme. Dental anxiety can stop nervous patients from getting the right care for their teeth and gums, often leading to far more invasive treatments further down the line because they weren’t seen in time to stop a problem escalating.
If you’re a nervous patient, do arrange to come in and have a chat about it. We offer solutions such as sedation to help you relax.
- Sedation, and other options, for nervous patients
- Your needs are our first priority
- A supportive & understanding approach to dental anxiety
- Our preventative approach can help stop the need for invasive treatments
As well as, or instead of, sedation during your dental treatments, you might find it helpful to come in and find out more about your treatment, the sounds you’ll hear and what we’ll be doing before it happens. You might want to listen to music on your phone or use some of your own relaxation techniques before the treatment begins. We are here to help and support you in whatever way you need us to.
If you’d like to come in to discuss your concerns without sitting in a dental surgery, we can always find a quiet, private space to have a consultation.
